Printed annual statements or reports of various American investments and personal papers relating to Edward Caird, including property in Dundee. Including:Trust Disposition and Settlement (Certified Copy) by Edward Caird of Finnart, 11-12 April, 1889, and Inventory and Valuation of Household furniture at 15 Belgrave Crescent, Edinburgh and at Finnart House, 1 January, 1890.

Edward Caird was born in Montrose in 1806. He founded Caird (Dundee) Ltd in 1832. His son, James Key Caird took over the business in 1870 and was a noted benefactor; between 1895 and 1914 he gave £240,940 in donations to institutions and organisations within and outside Dundee, and was awarded a baronetcy in 1913. Edward Caird died in 1889.
