Scope and Content

1. Richard Thomas of p. Llanavan Vawr, co. Brec., yeoman. 2. Thomas ap Edward Lewes of p. Llanwthull, co. Brec., gent. Marriage-settlement on the intended marriage of the said Richard Thomas and Margaret Lewes of said p. Llanavan Vawr, sister-in-law to the said Thomas ap Edward Lewes, and in consideration of the marriage-portion of the said Margaret Lewes, amounting to £24 and upwards. The said Richard Thomas undertakes to redeem a mortgage of £25 held by William Powell Watkin of said p. Llanavan Vawr on the m's called Tir Pen y Krygge, Tir Parth Ysgwy, and Pante y Krygge, with their appurtenances, in said p. Llanavan Vawr, and to convey the said m's to trustees to be named for the following uses:- one half of the said m's to the immediate use of the said Richard and Margaret and, on the death of either of them, to the use of their heir(s); the other half to the immediate use of the said Richard and Margaret and to the survivor of them, and then to the use of their heir(s).
