Scope and Content

Pamphlet reprinted from The Journal of Jurisprudence and Scottish Law Magazine, May 1883. Contains an article entitled 'Jurisdiction in Scottish Peerages' on a committee of the House of Lords appointed in 1882 to inquire two issues complained of by the Peers of Scotland, namely: the want of any efficient mode of checking the votes of 'mere pretenders' to peerages; and the dissatisfaction with which the tribunal, or commission of inquiry, is viewed in Scotland.

The pamphlet bears the signature of a 'George W. Marshall'.
