Scope and Content

Reprints, correspondence, drafts of addresses, research notes, and reprints of articles by contemporaries, relating to research work compiled by Professor Phillips for articles and addresses on pregnancy complications and treatments, including uterine action, myomectomy, caesarean section, ectopic pregnancy, obstetric shock, obstetric binders, puerperal fever, prolapse of the uretha, and constriction ring dystocia, including good notes on the death of Princess Charlotte in childbirth (1817), biographies of obstetricians including Dr Daniel Davis and Professor H Spencer, and discussions with Eardley Holland and Leonard Colebrook relating to puerperal fever.
