Scope and Content

Report on medical condition of John Steven, aged 53, admitted to the Dundee Royal Infirmary on 23 December 1820 "for severe cough attended with bloody mucous expectorations, vomiting, flying pains in the chest, at times very violent in the region of the heart ....". Died 19 May, suddenly. Report of Post-mortem examination. [Rough draft in Bell's hand, report written up by somebody else].
