Scope and Content

Locomotive is number 7029 'Clun Castle', one of the last batch built of this type, which were designed by C.B. Collette C.M.E of the Great Western Railway in 1923. The last batch of Castle Class locomotives were built by BR between 1948 and 1950 following nationalisation on 1 January 1948.
