150 blue and white pages of screenplay, typed in blue and red ink, plus: two blue pages, typed, of cast list [with actors' names and addresses]; one white page, handwritten in black ink, listing locations/sets, the number of shots and the number of days' filming required [Lake has written a note in pencil that this was in October 1919]; nine green pages, handwritten, featuring character names in the vertical left margins ticked off against sets and scene numbers on a horizontal axis; and one yellow title page: 'A Single Man by Hubert Henry Davies. Adapted for the screen by Eliot Stannard. There are 150 scenes, including subtitles. Some annotations and amendments in black ink [changing shot numbers] and pencil [adding how many feet of film will be used]. [Eventually directed by A.V. Bramble as 'The Single Man', but with a screenplay credited to Hubert Henry Davies.]
