A collection of scripts and synopses by the silent film scenarist, scriptwriter, director and producer, Eliot Stannard, dating from the time of his collaboration with director [and actor] A.V. Bramble. Donated by Fred Lake.

Administrative / Biographical History

Eliot Stannard (1888-1944) was a British screenwriter and film maker. His work spans 1914-1933 and includes eight screenplays he wrote for Alfred Hitchcock.

The Eliot Stannard scripts were collected by Fred Lake, who later donated then to the British Film Institute.
