States that he arrived the day before and could see the mountains over Lancashire bay for the first time in thirty years. He mentions that he has enclosed the finishing specimen for the vacant square and a draft description for Fletcher's editing. Ruskin discusses other additions that need to be made. He agrees with Fletcher's previous suggestion of a table with fixed lenses to view the stones and says that he will pay for it if Fletcher can plan it.
