This class is comprised of typescript material, including annotated typescripts of various works by Nicholson. A range of his writing is represented, such as: topographical works (Greater Lakeland and The Lake District: An Anthology); autobiography (Wednesday Early Closing and some autobiographical notes about Nicholson's early days and development as a poet); short stories; essays; talks; reviews; and a small number of poems with commentary. In addition to Nicholson's own writings, there are typescripts of poems by other writers, presumably given to Nicholson, including works by David Wright, Edward Lowbury and George Every. The material has been divided into three sub-classes.
