Scope and Content

Papers created by the Vice President for Education relating to the College's external relations concerning postgraduate training and education in obstetrics and gynaecology.

Administrative / Biographical History

The Honorary Office of Junior Vice-President had evolved by the 1990s and early 2000s to have main responsibility for promotion of standards and the College's training programmes. In 2005, Council supported the proposal to establish a third Vice President's post, recognising that the workload for the Officers was very heavy and continuing to increase. Professor Sabaratnam Arulkumaran was elected and took up office in September 2005 as Vice President (Education).
