COPY PROBATE WILL: James Thomas, White Lion, Pwlltrap, St. Clears, innkeeper and farmer dated 6th July 1871.

Testator bequeaths as follows: To my wife Mary Thomas so long as she continues my widow all my real estate and personalty. On her death I give the house and field called Pistyllteg to my son Thomas Thomas. I wish the field Dolfach Dol y Gors be sold and the value to be divided equally amongst my daughters, Margaret Numan and Elizabeth Davies. To my said daugher, Elizabeth Davies the house next to the White Lion where she now resides and the garden as at present divided and at her death the property to be sold and the value to be divided equally amongst her children. To my grandaughter Elizabeth Powell, the White Lion and all the furniture therein and all that belongs to the house. The stock, crop, etc. of the farm to be sold and the value together with any money in the house at my or my wifes decease to be divided equally manong my said children, Thomas, Margaret, Elizabeth and my grandaughter Elizabeth Powell. My wife, May Thomas and my grandaughter Elizabeth Powell to be joint executrixes.

Will proved at Carmarthen Probate Registry and administration granted to Elizabeth Powell testators granddaughter and surviving executrix.
