Black and white portrait photograph of a woman in a police uniform, with heavy double breasted coat, hat and white armband with badge. Cut down by hand, leaving uneven edges. The original photograph had a crease which obscures the subject's face. Pasted onto a page of the scrapbook.
The woman depicted may be Mary Beatrice Crowle, as the note on the page states that she helped to raise the first 2000 women police patrols and served with them in Plymouth, London and Bath.
