Sorry to report that nothing is being done in Ipswich. Most members absorbed in party politics, 'Chinese Labour, Tariff Reform and the Education Bill', and coming election. Will try to get question asked (on Suffrage views) of candidates Mr Hoare and Sir Charles Dalrimpyle. 'Felix Cobbold won't commit himself either way'. (Felix Cobbold Liberal MP for Ipswich 1906-1909 when he died. Sir Charles Dalrymple Conservative MP Bute 1868-85, Ipswich 1886-1906. Opposed Gladstone Midlothian 1835.)
