Purple card-bound four days to view desk diary. Pasted on to the first page of the monthly notes for January is a typescript itinerary for Graves's lecture tour of the United States with ms annotation in Graves's hand. Inserted between the pages for 11-12 and 13-14 February is a postcard from Graves to Beryl Graves dated 14 February and postmarked Bloomington, Indiana, 14 February 1958: the postcard includes a brief note from Alastair [Reid] and his sketch in ballpoint ink of Graves lecturing; the speech bubble reads "and see that Robert Graves behaves exemplarily well!".
