The series includes early work done whilst a teenager, artwork relating to his job as a teacher and other pieces, relating variously to early journalistic work and hobbies, such as amateur photography. The artwork covers several subjects and is occasionally grouped as sets, presumably in order to illustrate journalistic articles.
