Deeds of farms at Cwmtawe in the parish of Llangiwg, 1619-1625. The three Cwm-tawe farms, Cwm-tawe-uchaf, Cwm-tawe-ganol and Cwm-tawe isaf, were along the valley floor beside the River Tawe, to the south and east of Godre’rgraig. The deeds include a number of other properties, including Cilmaen-gwyn-upon-the-Rock, which may be Cilmaen-gwyn-isaf, and Gilfach-yr-haidd (for which, see the deeds in the next section, D/D TDW 7/1-9). They were mortgaged by Mathew Herbert of Cilybebyll to Morgan Awbrey, then sold to him outright in 1625.
