Cash books are books of primary entry, from which transactions are posted to the ledgers above. They constitute a detailed record of the financial affairs and day-to-day activities of the Wood Street Mission. There are four sub-series: Analysed Income Cash Books, 1931-1989 (WSM/4/1); Analysed Expenditure Cash Books, 1911-1989 (WSM/4/2); Day Books, 1977-1990 (WSM/4/3); and Petty Cash Books (WSM/4/4).
