This sub-group consists of the documents produced to record information about textile mills in Greater Manchester as part of the Greater Manchester Textile Mills Survey. There are seven series: files of documentary material (CMS2/1); map survey data (CMS2/2); field survey data (CMS2/3); mill files relating to specific sites (CMS2/4); terrestrial photographs (CMS2/5); photocopies of aerial photographs (CMS2/6); and computer print-outs from the county Sites and Monuments Record database maintained by GMAU (CMS2/7).
