This sub-group consists of series of records that relate to the organization, administration and background of the Greater Manchester Textile Mills Survey. It includes material concerning specific projects which are related to the survey, documents relating to RCHME and records specifically concerning the publication of Cotton Mills in Greater Manchester and other relevant publications. Also included are documents relating to the different stages of the survey; for example, the selection and execution of detailed surveys, records relating to the documentary research element and supplementary information collected by the Greater Manchester Archaeological Unit.
