Dorothy Howard was the daughter of Lady Carlisle. To say that she has suddenly been stricken down with Flu and will therefore be unable to keep her engagement with Halton BWTA next Monday. At the moment she can't think of a substitute, but must, and of course means she won't see Mrs Harvey that night.
