The Jazz and Popular Music Special Collections at Leeds College of Music were opened by Digby Fairweather in 1990. In the early years of the collection a large quantity of jazz recordings were amassed. Since then the collection policy has changed and original manuscript band parts and printed song sheets have become the areas that are being developed.
There are several collections of manuscript band parts, and a large quantity of jazz on vinyl.
