Administrative / Biographical History

Chris Green was a founder member of Trojan Press, based in Hackney, London. Chris Green then went on to become a founder member of Raven Printing Co-operative Ltd in Manchester. He was later a Co-operative Development Worker with Calderdale Council Economic Development Department, and Community Business Development Officer at Kirklees Council. For twenty two years he taught printing at Manchester Metropolitan University. In 2005 he founded the White Ribbon Campaign, the UK campaign to end male violence against women.

Acquisition Information

In October 2017 the National Co-operative Archive sent out a request for interview participants from the wider workers' co-operative community to take part in Working Together, a Heritage Lottery Funded project seeking to record and preserve the heritage of the workers' co-operative movement. This interview was recorded in response to this request. The interview was conducted at the National Co-operative Archive, Manchester.
