Contains 16 enclosures. Entries detail her daily pastimes, travel and social connections based in Broom and Sauchiehall Street, Glasgow, including a trip to Europe. Contains an account of her personal expenditure for the year, and lists of her correspondence and reading. Enclosures include:

  • 8 engagement cards from balls attended in Glasgow and elsewhere;
  • letter regarding a masseuse in Savoie, with an insert containing her details;
  • 4 programmes for performances in Glasgow and Aix-les-Bains, including one in aid of 'the sick and wounded in Soudan' and one featuring her sister, Edith Gairdner;
  • a receipt for payment to a Milliner;
  • a calling card from Richard C Lynch.
