There are inset at pages 54, 55, 79, records of contracts which have not been particularised in the columns of the Bargain Book itself.
There are piquant entries at the foot of p. 6 to the effect that the quarrymen contractors were to pay for any sheep or lambs they might kill on the inclines or railway; they were also to clear away all snow. As the particular contracts referred to were for the four weeks ending 19 September 1903, it is not likely that snow would be much of an impediment, even in Rhiwbach.
