Poem written by Carina Riley during the restrictions put in place in response to the Covid-19 pandemic. Ms Riley provided the following contextual information about when the poem was written: "'I Remember When I Was Small' was triggered by a few things. When my grandchildren came back into our house, the youngest was hesitant, he had forgotten where the toilet was and paused before entering each room. However, all of the grandchildren (we now have ten) had remembered where the fruit bowl was and which freezer draw the ice-creams were in! I think lockdown with all the complicated and ever-changing rules, the fear of illness and losing people we loved, affected every generation in a different way."
