In 1952 the company was bought by J N (Snodland) Limited, who changed the name to James Nichols & Son (Holdings) Ltd. J N (Snodland) Limited was then renamed James Nichols & Son Ltd. James Nichols & Son (Holdings) Ltd was wound up in 1955.
