People: Travellers not included in the Dictionary files

This series consists of 22 files of information concerning travellers not included in the Dictionary, arranged alphabetically by surname. The material contained within the files includes research notes compiled by Brinsley Ford and others involved in the publication of the Dictionary. Most of the research material from this series was not included in the published version of the Dictionary and was kept as a separate series titled 'Travellers not included in the Dictionary '. It contains information about travellers from before 1701 and after 1800, uncertain identities, unintelligible names from Italian archives, priests and sailors.
