He has been in touch with Mr [Alexander] Mundell concerning completion of the [Glasgow Paisley and Ardrossan] Canal and he feels that every effort should be made to procure aid from the Government for part of Mr [William] Crosley's estimate of £143,000 required. Also mentions Mr [John] Wyllie [i.e. Wylie]. Gives list of documents to be furnished in support of the Minute of the Committee and application to the Government
