Records of PB's intelligence gathering activities for the OSS of the US Army, including reports, notes, covering public opinion in Germany on a range of issues. He was sent on a tour of duty to Stuttgart, Heidelberg and Heidelberg from around 18 May 1945 for about 14 days. From 11 June to 18 August he served as reported and assistant editor in the Public Relations, Press and Radio Office of Detachment F213 of the 3rd Military Government Regiment of the US Army. On 12 September he was directed to spend eight days in Kassel and Bremen in Germany; on 4 October 1945 he was directed to Stuttgart in Germany and St Louis in France.
