Custodial History
The Loughborough Parish Library was deposited in Loughborough Technical College in 1967. It moved to Loughborough University in 1987, then to Manuscripts and Special Collections at the University of Nottingham in 2012.
The Ashby Parish Library was moved to the Rare Book Room of Loughborough’s School of Librarianship (part of Loughborough Technical College, later University) in 1969. In 2013 the Ashby Parish Library was officially deposited at Manuscripts and Special Collections, University of Nottingham.
These remnants could not in most cases be identified as coming from either one of the libraries, and were transferred to the manuscript collections in 2024.
