Scope and Content

Letters, 1779-c. 1783, of John Walters the elder, rector of Llandough near Cowbridge and vicar of St Hilary, Glamorgan, and of his sons John and Daniel; poems written in the letters, including one by Daniel Walters to Iorwerth Gwilim, i.e. Edward Williams ('Iolo Morganwg') and one, in Latin, by John Walters commemorating Captain James Cook ; a poem entitled 'Ar y gwrthryfel mawr yn Ffraingc, pan torrwyd pen Brenin Lewis yr 16 ai Frehines [sic]', possibly by a 'Mr Lewis, Penline'; a printed copy of 'Lines on the lamented Death of Sir Christopher Cole, K.C.B. by L. N., Swansea, 1836; letters, 1930, to Lady Mansel Franklen, St Hilary.
