Harris Tweed and the Harris Tweed Association (1909-1993) and the Harris Tweed Authority (1993-present), in the media, mainly in the form of press cuttings and magazine articles.
While most of the press cuttings seem to have been collected for the HTA by 'Durrant's', a press agency, it is more likely that the loose newspapers and magazine articles accumulated organically. The newspaper pieces contain more current news and opinion, whereas the magazine articles tend to be 'feature' or fashion pieces. The magazine articles include some in foreign languages.
As well as print media, this subfonds also includes a folder of planning for a TV programme on the industry.
