Includes the following topics: Premises-history, description, alterations, fire precautions, sanitary arrangements, insurance, machinery-layout, description, repairs, improvement, management of steam engines in particular, labour force-wages and hours, techniques-including improvements and experiments. Also includes essay entitled "Information Regarding Flax Spinners at Leeds", 1821. Compares practices there with those in Scotland and covers some of the topics as above.
