Scope and Content

Rycotewood College was founded in 1935 by Cecil Michaelis as a residential college offering training in gatemaking, wheelwrighting and later furniture and agricultural engineering. In 2003 the Oxford College of Further Education, North Oxfordshire College in Banbury and Rycotewood College merged to form Oxford and Cherwell College.
