Correspondence between John Charnley and C.M.W. Laboratories Limited relating to Charnley’s approach to C.M.W. as a potential supplier of cold cure acrylic cement for use in bonding metallic replacements to living bone. There is discussion of manufacture, conditions, requirements, production, packaging, supply, setting time, composition, sterilization, testing, containers, marketing and promotional material.

There is also reference to the effects of irradiation, visibility on a radiograph, potential side effects, securing a patent, and Charnley’s intention of writing an article on the product’s technical aspects.
