Scope and Content

1. Moris David of Bodinvol, yeoman. 2. Robert Reynald of Bodinvol, yeoman. Mortgage of the dwelling house inhabited by Mauld verch Lewis; the parcel of land thereto belonging called Erw newydd, containing about five a., lying between the lands of John Thomas and the commons there and extending from the lands of Reynald ap Robert to those of Robert Reynald; and the parcel of arable land called Kay yn r allt, containing abour four a., which he had lately purchased of Thomas Gruffyth ap Reynald, all lying in Bodinvol, co. Mont. With a proviso for the repayment of the mortgage debt of £30 in the south porch of the parish church of Llanvechan between the hours of 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. on the feast day of St John the Baptist in any of the years 1639, 1642, 1645, or 1648. Endorsed: Agreement that the mortgagee shall pay 8d. of lord's rent for the whole.
