Scope and Content

Case And Opinion of counsel as to whether the will of John David is a valid execution of the power given in a previous deed, and whether John David the younger can overcome the wording of the will preventing him from selling or mortgaging lands inherited, to pay for the portions of the younger children. Case recites a deed dated 1 May 1787, and the will, dated 22 Aug. 1818, of John David, devising his estates to his son, John David the younger.
