Floral Chintz I

Small sketches dating from the late 19th to mid 20th century, all floral in subject and predominantly chintz in style. There are designs by, amongst others, Raphael Fausse, Libert, Deubel & Gusching and Edmond Poiret. Some sketches resemble those by H. W. Batley, though they are not signed or ascribed as such. There are also a number of photocopies of designs. Some designs have been attached in multiples to single sheets of backing paper. Where this is the case, no dominant colour has been recorded.
