WITNEY URBAN LOCAL TRIBUNAL

Set up in response to a Local Government Board circular of 26th October 1915 to hear claims for the postponement of, or exemption from, military service. Claims for exemption could be made on the grounds of occupation, serious financial or domestic hardship, ill health or infirmity, or conscientious objection.
