The most important records from the
churchwardens of St. Martin are its long
series of accounts, starting in 1540.
The other major collection is a sequence
of churchwardens' bills and receipts
extending from the 16th to the 19th
centuries. There are also papers
connected with church rates, and other
financial records, as well as summons
from the City Quarter Sessions and an
important volume of details on the
elections of churchwardens and other
parish officials.
