Scope and Content
Administrative / Biographical History
The La-De-Pom Club was formed at the first annual reunion of Set XI (1913-1915) of the Bedford Physical Training College on 23 December 1915. Annual reunions were held either during 'Holiday Week' at the College in July/August or at the Strand Palace Hotel in January. The members were enthusiastic in their support of the College and Margaret Stansfeld and had the distinction of being the Set which raised the most funds in a collection towards the purchase of a Morris Cowley 4-seater car which was presented to Margaret Stansfeld on the College's 21st anniversary.
