The files concern all staff and artists, including singers, music staff, instumentalists, conductors, producers, production staff, designers, stage management, drivers, children, children's tutor and chaperone, understudies, repetiteurs, dancers and choroegraphers.
1964-1967: correspondence and inter departmental communications concerning engagements and payment of salaries and expenses are filed in one file per year
1968-1974/75: there are 2 files per year, and by 1970 the first file contains correspondence concerning engagements, contracts, rehearsal and performance dates, fees and salaries, whilst the second contains inter departmental communications concerning the payment of salaries and expenses.
1975-1979: there are weekly wage sheets covering all staff and artists from 1976-1979, and individual files for some members from 1975-1977 concerning engagement, work, schedules and fees
There are also files concerning singers auditions 1971-1974 and auditions for children 1969-1974 as well as files of correspondence with the English Chamber Orchestra 1968-1975.
