Papers donated from the Müüller Foundation, mostly related to people concerned with the Foundation, for example many of the papers are sermons and addresses given by various members at meetings of Brethren. Many of these sermons, and other related documents such as pamphlets and circulars, give an insight into the views of the group with which George Müller associated, as well as the debates they had and the doctrines and ideology they held. Other papers show the development of Müller's work to its culmination in the establishment of the Ashley Down orphan houses and the missionary schools funded by him through his Scriptural Knowledge Institute. Other papers are concerned with the missionary work he funded abroad, such as the Luanza mission in Congo. Many of the papers give an account of Müller's life as a student in Prussia and his career as a missionary in Britain. They also record the founding and purpose of the Scriptural Knowledge Institute and the work it went on to carry out.
