This study was completed by S. A. Richardson in 1972-1977. The available data take the form of extensive semi-structured interviews with parents (mothers mainly) and subjects and data from official health, social, educational and court records. The data cover a wide range of personal characteristics, educational and service history; family structure and history, friendships and leisure pursuits. All the interviews were tape-recorded and partially transcribed onto structured interview schedules.
