996 fixed and loose photographs of English medieval sculpture, including tomb effigies, figure niches, figures, column capitals, fonts, roof bosses, bench ends and misericords, as well as some French medieval ivories. All photographs are categorised by function and geographical location. Captions are given to most photographs, indicating the geographical location of each item. The photographs were taken by F.H. Crossley, J.P. Gibson, F.C. Inglis, H.E. Miller, E.S. Prior, J.V. Saunders, Aylmer Vallance and others.
