Scope and Content

Each one has been hand-coloured. The board contains 4 separate drawings showing the following:

  • Image of a lady dated 1837, showing her with her face turned away, wearing a green bonnet and red coat with blue lining. She is wearing yellow gloves and holding a handkerchief.
  • Image of a lady dated 1841, wearing a green bonnet and pink coat with the bottom of a green dress visible underneath. She is wearing white gloves and holding a handkerchief.
  • Image of a lady dated 1852, the figure is turned away and is wearing a grey or black jacket with a blue skirt. She is wearing a yellow bonnet and gloves and holding a parasol.
  • Image of a lady dated 1860, she is wearing a brown cloak with green details over a purple dress. Her hands are inside a muff.
