Scope and Content

Each one has been hand-coloured. The board contains 4 separate drawings showing the following:

  • Image of a lady dated 1870. She is turned away and is wearing a purple dress with ruffles and green details and matching head dress. She is also holding a purple parasol.
  • Image of a lady dated 1884, with a view of the outfit from the side. She is wearing a green coat and hat with a purple dress underneath. She is carrying a parasol and book in her hands.
  • Image of two ladies dated 1890, facing towards each other. They are wearing black and red dresses and are wearing headpieces containing flowers.
  • Image of two ladies dated 1900.The figure on the right is wearing a black dress and hat with some blue detailing. The figure on the left is wearing a purple dress and hat. Both ladies are holding parasols.
