Consular correspondence addressed to: William Deane Poyntz, British chargé d'affaires at the Court of Turin; mainly from Nathaniel Davison, September 1776 - April 1778 (numbers 1-86 passim), and his successor John Birkbeck, April 1778 - November 1779 (numbers 87-181 passim), British Consuls at Nice. Included are letters from A. Ighina, Louis Riccardi, Thomas Miarns, James Sutherland and Captain Robert Brine.
