Division 5 files

There are files relating to wages, disputes, manpower, productivity, closures and other issues at the Llanwern, Cardiff, Ebbw Vale and Dowlais works.

Division 5 is an administrative division of the Iron and Steel Trades Confederation Executive Council and represents the distinct geographical area of Gwent and East Wales. Within Division 5 are local branches based on the workplace unit. There were seven divisions of the ISTC in all, each with its own divisional officer. There were also Divisional Committees which met each half year.
